Match Report
Forres Sandle Manor School Boys-U11A vs  Stroud School, Romsey
On: Saturday, 25 Sep 2021
Venue: at Home

A fantastic work ethic and team spirit led to the under 11 boys football team achieving their first two wins of the season! After conceding in the first 5 minutes of the first game against Stroud, FSM boys did not allow their heads to go down, in fact they became more determined to win the game. Their drive and perseverance paid off with Finlay hammering the ball home to bring an equaliser. After half time, Ben put the home side ahead with a fantastic goal after a zipping cross from Barnaby into the box. Defenders Addai and Freddie were completely solid at the back; stopping runs into the box and playing the ball out into the midfield.

The second game against Clayesmore, FSM were even stronger. With Isacc showing powerful strength in goal and making some incredible saves, FSM were able to keep a clean sheet. The first goal came from excellent play from Henry and Noah up front who pressed the Clayesmore defenders and goalkeeper forcing them to make a mistake and allowing Finlay to tap the ball in the goal. Toby, Addai, Freddie and George continued to play solidly at the back with George managing to break with the ball in the first half and run all the way down the left hand side of the pitch and run all the way down the left hand side of the pitch and narrowly miss his shot. The final goal came from Jack who pummelled the ball into the back of the net giving the keeper no chance at saving it.

A huge well done to all the boys who worked tirelessly through both matches and showed great respect in their wins.
