Match Report
Forres Sandle Manor School Boys-U10A vs  Stroud School, Romsey
On: Saturday, 25 Sep 2021
Venue: at Home

The weather was dull at FSM for the Saturday fixtures but the football was the complete opposite. The under 10s competed in a triangular against Stroud and Claysemore School. Our first game saw us take on Claysemore school with an end to end game from the start. The boys endeavoured throughout the game with no real joy. As a few unlucky breaks led to Claysemore leading FSM 2-0. Unlucky breaks were the story of the first game as the boys had some decent chances but we’re unable to convert. The competitive nature of the game continued throughout but unfortunately Claysemore claimed another goal to win 3-0.

The second game against Stroud was a different story with Stroud dominating the game from the start. Despite this the boys were determined to stop them scoring withstanding a lot of early pressure. Stroud finally broke the deadlock with some outstanding football. This then opened the floodgates for Stroud with a second following quickly. FSM did have some opportunities in the game but were unable to take advantage allowing Stroud to increase their lead to 4-0 scoring a long range free kick. The final whistle went shortly after with the game ending 4-0.

Despite the results and the weather the boys had a lot of fun and their effort could not be faulted.
