Match Report
Forres Sandle Manor School Girls-U9 vs  Embley & WHP triangular
On: Tuesday, 18 Jan 2022
Venue: Away

After watching the game between hosts Embley and visitors West Hill Park, with a win for WHP, we faced the winners first. We got off to a fast and furious start, clocking up 3 goals in a mere five minutes! The girls were moving well, switching quickly from defence to attack as they won the ball. Plenty of communication helped. Although WHP worked especially well at finding space when they worked the ball up the court to their net, we were able to catch a lot of rebounds, and stayed comfortably ahead for the rest of the game, winning 6 - 2.

Next up were the hosts, Embley. As we were running out of time, we shortened this match and put all 6 players on at the same time. This made the court a little crowded (imagine 12 pairs of arms reaching for the same ball!) and there were a fair few fumbles! It was an energetic, but scrappy game! Possession was relatively even, but we managed to net a goal where Embley, despite coming close a few times, just missed. A scrappy 1 - 0 win for FSM's girls.

The target for next week's coaching sessions will be marking: making sure we stick closely to one player each. We will need to keep our eyes open and keep moving.
