Today's dynamics were slightly different; we had a mixed team and were playing a netball festival at Ballard. FSM played Bryanston first and the game seemed fairly even. They got into the swing of things quickly and produced some lovely passes. Bryanston's defence was slightly stronger, resulting in 1 - 0 to them.
Our next match was against Castle Court. Brayden and Logan worked really well together, creating space and scoring some goals. Joseph's and Blake's marking was spot on which led to great interceptions. Isla's positive attitude and building on what we have learnt led to a strong win 4 - 1 from a team that have not played together yet.
Next up, FSM were against Salisbury Cathedral School. We dominated this game from start to finish as they fought hard for possession. Brayden and Joseph created space on the court in attack and fed the ball nicely to Isla and Logan who each scored a goal. Blake worked really well bringing the ball into attack to try get another goal. They worked really well as a team with the final score 2 - 0 to FSM.
Our final match was against Ballard. This was a tough, physical game but, with great determination, FSM continued pass some lovely balls through the centre court to our attacking D, but it was difficult to score as Ballard's defence was strong. The final score was 2-0 to Ballard.
Overall, they played really well; well done U8s!
