In a fiercely contested match, FSM encountered a challenging game that showcased resilience, determination, and moments of great skill.

The game started with an immediate flurry of action as both teams displayed an unwavering commitment to attacking football. Ballard seized the initiative early, showcasing their offensive prowess with swift passes into FSM's half.

In difficult pitch conditions, Ines and Cathinka did brilliantly in defence to clear the lines. India commanded the goal well, making some impressive saves. Ballard had a flurry of chances, putting FSM under pressure. Ballard scored first and it was quickly followed by another. FSM managed to pick themselves back up and with some impressive commitment of Sophia and Leila in chasing down the ball we found ourselves with a corner. Leila played in an incredible ball with great pace that went in off of a defender. We sadly conceded another just before half time.

After a half time team talk FSM came out fighting in the second half. Sofia played some fantastic football, making some crucial tackles. These tackles ignited the desire to push forward for another goal. Sophia chasing down every ball and found herself with a shooting opportunity. She scored with confidence...what a strike!

Ballard were incredibly fast and skillful on the break. Bea dropped back into defence where she was effective in making some timely challenges.

Although it was a defeat this time round, the team shows real promise and I look forward to seeing the progress in the next game!
