The team took more steps forwards today and can be really proud of their efforts throughout the tournament. They played 6 games with 3 being back to back, winning 2 and losing 4. The four losses were all tight affairs where all but one could have ended as a different result. The girls linked well and played with a lot effort despite the hot conditions, and never gave up. Sophia, as always, was like a terrier throughout the day and scored some cracking goals with real class. Bea and Lorelei ran well down the wings and caused lots of problems for the opposition. Anna, playing up front for the first time, got to grips by the end of the tournament with where she needed to be, pressing the opposition and causing them to make a lot of mistakes. Leila, Darley-Rose and Rowena were much more a unit in defence and were hard to break down. Better clearances were on show today and this eased the pressure on the team. Unathi in goal made some strong saves throughout, making it harder for the opposition to score and began to close the opposition down more. A really positive day throughout.
