The last time we turned up to the Hampshire Hockey Trophy tournament we did not play as a team. However, today was totally different as the standard of play throughout was excellent. We created so many more chances in every game and I felt no side dominated us even in out 1 loss. Every girl played really well and performed together strongly as a team. Our shape was much better throughout the day and this allowed us to remain in control of the ball. We scored 5 goals throughout and only conceded 2 throughout the whole day. We finished in 5th place ahead of KES after a nail-biting penalty shootout where FSM scored three goals through Sophia, Lorelei and Leila with Unathi holding strong in goal as she saved three to edge the match. Very hard to pick a player of the day as I said before they all did their jobs exceptionally well.
