An historical day for FSM as the very first group of Year 9 boys took to the field at Boundary Oak school. The boys should be very proud of themselves as they took on two teams from BO and one from Sherfield.
The first match started well and the boys looked to push up high and feed Joey at striker. Against the turn of play BO scored which then focused FSM into communicating more and really testing the keeper. Eventually they found a way through and came out with a draw through Joey poking it in the corner.
Second game the boys had the bit between their teeth and started rattling the back of the net. Barnaby, Archie, Joey, Freddie and Oliver all getting their names on the score sheet.
Last but not least was the toughest game against Sherfield which ended up in a fair result of 2-2. They boys played their best footy with Lucas and Yehor sharing the goal keeping and both having cracking games. Our defence of Theo, Felix and the two Olivers was a hard wall to break through and the boys should be commended for their hard work. Robert and Barnaby out on the wings fed the ball into Joey brilliantly and went round the opposition defenders with a great showcase of skill from both boys. Ben and Freddie controlled the middle of the pitch with cool heads and hard work.
Well done boys: top effort all round.
