In today football tournament, Forres Sandle Manor put on some great performances that showcased their competitive spirit and skill with some great results that keeps there unbeaten record going. In their first match against moyles court the boys got off to a great start attacking wide down the left for Barnaby to pepper the box with crosses for Max and Robert to tuck away in the back of the net. The game ended 2-1 to Forres and whilst the boys still had plenty to give it was a great start.
Next up was Durlston Court, the game ended in a thrilling 3-3 draw. Goalkeeper Lucas played a crucial role in keeping the team in the game with some excellent saves while defenders Theo, Archie, Felix, Oliver, and sitting slightly higher upfield Pedro worked tirelessly to fend off Durlston Court's attacks, which were strong in particular two of their players that were excellent footballers. Midfielders Freddie and Ben contributed significantly to controlling the flow of the game. Freddie showcased his pass and move game whilst ben scored a contender for goal of the season. The game ended with a cracking cross from Barnaby to pin point Robert who headed a beauty into the goal.
In their third fixture, Forres Sandle Manor faced Lee Hurst Swan and secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory. The attacking duo of Max, and Robert proved decisive, with Max and Robert both scoring the goals that clinched the win. The defense, held strong and Theo, Archie, Felix, Oliver, and Pedro, and goalkeeper Lucas, effectively kept Swans attacking players quiet and their threats on goal to a minimum.
The team continued their impressive performance by defeating Moyles Court 3-1 in their final match. Lucas once again displayed his ever improving goalkeeping while the defensive line and midfielders ensured a solid performance throughout. Max,and Robert were instrumental in the attack, contributing to yet the end of another great tournament for Forres Sandle Manor.
The boys were great today and there are a lot of players lining up more man of the tournament but for me this week Archie’s influence and bravery on the ball was unmatched.
