Match Report
Forres Sandle Manor School Boys-U14A vs  Moyles Court School
On: Tuesday, 01 Oct 2024
Venue: Away

In the first game of the afternoon, FSM secured a solid 2-0 win against Moyles Court. Ben controlled the centre of the field with a cool head, while Theo and Felix were dominant in defence, cutting out any threat from the opposition. Robert, out on the right wing, was instrumental, covering every blade of grass and driving the team forward with some excellent crosses. Joey was clinical up front, netting a hat-trick and constantly putting himself in goal-scoring opportunities. Oliver W and Freddie kept the pressure on by peppering the goal with shots. Freddie displayed excellent ball control without and often was the one releasing Robert up the wing. Archie’s huge clearances helped secure the backline. Lucas made some brilliant saves, preserving a clean sheet for 2 out of the 4 games and really throwing his body on the line to keep the ball from the back of the net. Oliver B and Jeppe worked tirelessly on the wings and personified an outstanding work rate. They poached the ball off the opposition so many times.

The second game saw FSM suffer their first loss, with Ballard scoring against the run of play to win 1-0. However, FSM bounced back in the final round, beating Moyles Court 3-0 and drawing 1-1 with Ballard, ultimately winning the triangular tournament overall. Robert’s outstanding performance earned him the Man of the Tournament title for his relentless energy and impact on the game. Special mention to Joey for scoring 3 and on any other day would have most likely got it. Most improved was Oliver W who showed some real class on the pitch.
