What a fantastic way to kick off the half term of sport with a tag rugby tournament at home! FSM under 8s welcomed a host of enthusiastic players from Embley, Durlston Court, and Clayesmore for an afternoon brimming with fun and camaraderie.
Our boys went head-to-head in four exhilarating matches against mixed teams from Clayesmore and Durlston Court, giving 100% in every game. William stood out as our try-scoring machine, showcasing his impressive skills as he ducked and dived through entire opposing teams to touch down. Charlie and Alex weren't far behind, each finding the tiniest gaps to score numerous tries. We were especially amused when Charlie, in his excitement, decided to snatch an entire tag belt instead of just one tag!
Kamy brought contagious enthusiasm, wearing a big grin in every game and inspiring his teammates with his optimism. Oli was superb, making pivotal try-saving tags and supporting his teammates brilliantly with some of his own wonder runs. Blake and Cieran employed heads-up rugby, darting through many a fierce defence to exploit gaps. Roy emerged as a playmaker during free passes, sending some key balls to set his friends up for success.
All in all, it was a brilliant day of tag rugby at FSM! Bring on the rest of the season!
Man of the match has to go to the try scoring machine, William Walker.
