Tuesday saw our U14 boys travels down to the coast to Bournemouth Colliagte school. It was a job to keep the boys from psyching themselves out. BCS had won all but one game in their season and had taken down some big schools. After a tough match the week before the boys were well prepared and the game didn’t disappoint. The boys started strong but were up against it. BCS were the first to score but the boys stayed positive and grew into the game. All of a sudden it was half time and the score was 19-14 to our hosts. Suddenly our boys had the belief and led by our no nonsense captain Lucas who was obliterating rucks for fun giving Ben who had an another superb game quick ball for our talented fly half Robert. Robert was pulling the strings and gifting our centres Josh and Oliver space to run wild. The boys kept the pressure on and every time BCS scored the boys bounced straight back through some excellent pressure. The scrum was a real force with the likes of Oli W and Archie who were on fine form busting holes in the oppositions defence with some excellent carriers. Felix was his busy self getting involved in everything attack, rucks defence and as ever he was everywhere eventually crawling of the pitch in exhaustion after putting in an awesome shift. Theo was a menace today carrying on smashing people in the tackle area and making at least 3 try saving tackles on BCS’s biggest players.
Final score 21-33 to BCS
Whilst the score line wasn’t in our favour the boys knew that they’d put in an absolutely bruising performance and should be very proud of the team effort. Todays men of the match was split between our awesome powerful captain Lucas and our no nonsense tackler Theo who continues be take the rugby pitch by storm.
