The U13B team took to the field with determination, playing two hard-fought matches against Chafyn Grove and West Hill Park. The first game against Chafyn Grove began with an impressive start as Jeppe scored a try straight from the first set play, demonstrating the team’s potential. Charlie impressed with his ability to find space, making excellent catches and strong runs with the ball. Seb and Teddy chased down loose balls tirelessly but were ultimately outpaced by a swift Chafyn attack, which managed to break through our defenses multiple times. Max provided crucial support on the wing, while Gonzalo stepped up with confident and fearless tackling, taking every opportunity to halt the opposition. Jeppe’s outstanding performance saw him cross the try line three times, showcasing his attacking flair, but despite these efforts, the team couldn’t overcome the strength of Chafyn Grove’s side.

In the second match against West Hill Park, the boys found their form and delivered a more cohesive performance. Their teamwork shone through with well-executed set pieces, and Charlie’s strength in the center posed a constant challenge to WHP’s robust defense. Max dug deep to produce some brave and decisive tackles, while Gonzalo showed tremendous resilience, fearlessly returning to the fray after enduring some hard hits. As the game reached its final moments, Jeppe produced a breathtaking pitch-length run, evading defenders to score a dramatic and controversial last-minute try, capping off a thrilling encounter.
