I was treated to yet another day of cracking game of football. The 1st team were on fine form lead by Max (c) and Seb (vc).

Max as captain scored an early goal after some great touches across the pitch belting it into the corner. But no sooner did they return to the half way line that Dumpton brake through with a well scored goal. Next up was Barns first of two goals again the boys were playing the ball well across the pitch and Barns slotted it powerfully into the corner. Once again Dumpton came back and scored off the counter attack. It was apparent that the defence was too flat and the midfield too high.

The half ended 3-2 to FSM with Max scoring his second of the afternoon with a cheeky poke that travelled under the keeper.

The boys took on board the half time chat and came out firing. Our defence really stepped up and kept a clean sheet for the rest of the afternoon with Elliot controlling the centre and Ricky and Pedro working tirelessly out wide feeding our wingers with some beautiful balss down the line.

Our fierce midfield partnership of Josh and Marius worked brillianty. With Marius' subtle skill and touches on the ball feeding our trio at the front and Josh's not so subtle power game our midfield was well tended to and really was the heart beat of the team.

Our attack of Barnaby, Seb and Max is going to be a hard trio to crack for players wanting to break into the side. Seb was relentless up and down the pitch work as hard two players and really stifled dumptons attack on that side. Barns fed a constant supply of balls into the box taking just enough touches before moving to ball on to the ever hungry FSM players in the box. Definitely one of his best performances to date

Last but not least was Yehor who was outstanding in goal and made the finest save i've seen in the time I've been at FSM. The cracking shot from Dumpton that was going top right corner but Yehor dived at full stretch and made a brilliant finger tip save. Yehor is going to be tough to beat this year and has is really cementing his place in the team.
