What an afternoon of football! This team was raring to go, having had some pretty impressive practices this week - and pretty impressive was their continued theme. The children were not afraid to go in for some tough tackles, and worked really hard at creating space when we were on the attack. They were quite goal-hungry today, and took the play to the other team, with some pacey dribbles down the wings. Teamwork was more cohesive, despite a few occasions when we kind of got in each other's way, and it was great to witness the improvement in power on the ball. Everyone played their part, but two extra special mentions must go to Arrietty, facing some powerful strikes as goalie - she stood her ground, making repeated saves - and with a smile on her face! The second special mention is to Eason, making great use of pace on the ball, scoring several goals. That said, each member of the team did their bit and more. Enthusiasm was high, energy was evident throughout and the progress these youngsters have made in the last week is fantastic. Well done!
